Raffaele Pè
Described by Gramophone Music Magazine as “promise” of the baroque (2014), Raffaele is among the emerging young interpreters of the Italian scene.

Born in Lodi, he started his studies in singing and organ as a chorister at Lodi Cathedral, under Pietro Panzetti.

He then continued his training in London with Colin Baldy and Nicholas Clapton, participating in masterclasses with Sarah Walker, James Bowman, and Sonia Prina. Winner and finalist in many competitions, Raffaele performs regularly with several leading conductors including John Eliot Gardiner, Paul McCreesh, René Jacobs, Nicholas McGegan, Claudio Cavina, and Andreas Spering. Recent highlights include, Ottone in L’Incoronazione di Poppea with La Venexiana in Japan, Leone in the modern revival of Gasparini’s Bajazet for Teatro di Barga and Pisa, Santino in Leonardo Alarcon’s pasticcio Amore Siciliano, with appearances at Bremen, Ambronay, and Halle.

Finally, Raffaele is the founder and the leader of the early music collective La Lira di Orfeo with whom he will debut at Berlin Philharmonie and other European venues in autumn with a programme dedicated to the Italian vocal music of the baroque period.
