Francesca Micarelli, soprano, studied singing at the “Conservatorio G. Verdi” of Milan, graduated in 2003 with top marks; she studied too at Accademia del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, obteining the master degree and working in some production of that Theatre; has taken part at masterclasses with Luciana Serra, Richard Sigmund, Oslavio di Credico, Amelia Oses, Leone Magiera, William Matteuzzi. She has a deep musical background: she studied even violin (graduated in 2002).
She has sung in La Scala in Milan, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, AsLiCo Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro Sociale in Trento, Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo, Teatro Grande in Brescia, Gaertnerplatz Munich, Stadttheater Hof, and others with conductors like Riccardo Muti, Corrado Rovaris, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli, Tiziano Severini, Thomas Koncz, Paolo Arrivabeni, Daniele Agiman, Massimo Lambertini.
In 2002 she was awarded 1st Prize in the International Singing Competition “Debut in Meran” .
Since 2001 he has interpreted the following roles: Musetta in La Bohème (Hof); Micaela in Carmen (Meran); Adele in Die Fledermaus (Munich); Euridice in Orfeo e Euridice (Argos and Atene, Greece); Pamine in Der Zauberflote (Argos and Atene, Greece); Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro (Meran); Serafina in Campanello (Torino and tour in north Italy); Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Trento); Cio-cio-san in Madama Butterfly (Trento); Norina in Don Pasquale (tour AsLiCo); Lucia in Lucia di Lammermoor (Tirana, co-production with Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Florence); Anna in Nabucco (Palermo); Emily in Help, Help the Globolinks by Menotti (Palermo); Una Geisha in Iris by P. Mascagni (Verona).
As director, she studied in Dipartimento Arti Musiche e Spettacolo of University of Bologna; her debut was in 2005 with a new production of Pergolesi "La serva padrona" (Meran).After that, among others: Pergolesi “Livietta e Tracollo” (october 2005), “Parodia Mozartiana” (may 2006), Donizetti “Rita” (august 2006), Donizetti “L'elisir D'amore” (august-september 2007, march 2008, november 2009), Donizetti “Don Pasquale” (February 2010, Mikkeli, Finland).
