Lana Kos was born in 1984. After studying music, in 2002 she made her debut in Die Zauberfloete as Koenigin der Nacht in Zagreb.
Among the numerous engagements of the beginnings, in 2005 Lana Kos sang the role of Natasha Rostova at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater in Prokofiev’s War and Peace under the baton of Mstislaw Rostropovitsch.
In November 2008, Lana Kos starred as Violetta for the first time at the Maribor Opera and in 2009 she performed this role at the Ljubljana Festival as well as in a Gala Concert in Parma.
In the same year, Lana Kos played the Vixen of The cunning little Vixen in Tel Aviv and made her debut as Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. Here Lana Kos has performed in many new productions with such conductors as Daniele Gatti, Nicola Luisotti, Kent Nagano and Kirill Petrenko. In 2010 Lana Kos made her debut in Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor in Rijeka, and in F. Lehár’s Der Zarewitsch at Mörbisch Festival.
During the season 2010/2011, Lana Kos has made her debut as Mimi in Puccini's La Bohème and as Juliette in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette. In Summer 2011, we point out her interpretation of La Traviata in the context of the 89th Arena di Verona Opera Festival, under the baton of Carlo Rizzi and the direction of Hugo de Ana.
In 2012 she performed again La Traviata at Teatro Massimo in Palermo and she was invited by Masada Opera Festival to debute the role of Micaela in Carmen. In the last part of 2012 she made her debut in the title role of Puccini’s Manon Lescaut, in Athens. In 2013 she is busy with another debut in the role of Desdemona in Verdi’s Otello in Beijing, and she performs again La Traviata at the New Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv and at the Arena di Verona.
In 2015 she will be again Violetta in Tokyo.
