Born in Seoul, he obtained a diploma in voice at the National Arts Academy in Seoul, then he studied in Italy with M° Pier Miranda Ferraro.
He was the winner of important competitions, such as «Francisco Viñas» in Barcelona, «Belvedere Competition» in Vienna and «Voci Verdiane» in Busseto.
Internationally renowned artist, he has successfully starred the title role in Nabucco at the Washington Opera House and at the Teatro Lirico Cagliari, Il Conte di luna in Il Trovatore e at the Vanemuine (Estonia), as well as the title role in Rigoletto at the Teatro Filarmonico Verona, that was also played in the Theatres Comunale Florence, Bellini in Catania, São Carlos in Lisboa, Vittoriale in Gardone Riviera, Seoul Arts Center, G. Verdi concert hall in Milan and at the Festivals of Massa Marittima, San Gimignano, Oderzo and Como.
He made his role debut as Simone in Simon Boccanegra at the Seoul Arts Center, conducted by M° Chung and as Marchese de Bois Doré in Lauriane at the Teatro São Carlos in Lisboa.
He sang Renato in Un Ballo in Maschera at the Teatro Comunale Florence; Amonasro in Aida at the Luglio Musicale Trapanese; Conte di Luna in Il Trovatore at the Teatro delle Muse Ancona, Luglio Musicale Trapanese and at the Teatro Coccia Novara.
Further he sang Marcello in La Bohème at the Bassano del Grappa Opera Festival and at Ascoli Piceno, Scarpia in Tosca at the Teatro Verdi Sassari, Seoul Arts Center, Sejong Theatre Seoul and at the Massa Marittima Festival; Ping in Turandot at the Royal Opera House Muscat (Oman), Festival Pucciniano in Torre del Lago, Teatro del Giglio Lucca, Sociale in Mantova and Coccia in Novara.
He also sang Valentine in Faust at the Teatro Coccia Novara; Alidoro in La Cenerentola, Tonio in Pagliacci and Alfio in Cavalleria Rusticana in the Theatres of Pisa, Lucca and Livorno.
