Luiz-Ottavio Faria 
He studied music in Rio de Janeiro, at the American Institute of Music Studies and at the Juilliard School of Music (NY) and won prestigious prizes such as the 23rd Contest “Carmen Gomes, Die Meistersinger” and the Voice Contest “New Jersey State Opera”.

Throughout his speedy career he sung Timur in Turandot at the Palm Beach Opera and at Teatro Municipal in Rio, where he came back with Don Basilio in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Don Antonio in Il Guarany and Colline, which he sung at the Knoxville Opera too. In Palm Beach he came back with Oroveso in Norma, then sung in Gran Canaria and at the Opera de Quebec. In Brasil he was also Goitaca in Lo Schiavo and Boris Timofejevic Izmajlov in Lady Makbeth Mtsenskovo Uyesda.

At the Carnegie Hall in NY he sung Marcel in Les Huguenots, Nourabad in Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Alvise in La Gioconda and three roles in Verdi’s Jerusalem. At the Hawaii Opera he was Innkepper in Königskinder and Tannhäuser. Among other roles in the USA Zaccaria, Lycomede in Deidamia, the King in Aida, Simone and Talpa in Puccini’s Trittico, Frère Laurent in Roméo et Juliette and Mefistofele.

In Italy he sung at Teatro Massimo in Palermo Fiesco in Simone Boccanegra and Ramphis in Aida and at the Oviedo Opera Padre Guardiano in La Forza del Destino, Grande Inquisitore in Don Carlo and Timur in Turandot. Not to forget Procida in I Vespri Siciliani at Teatro Carlo Felice Genoa and his début at La Scala with Banquo in Macbeth, then sung in Brasil and at the New Jersey State Opera.
