Lucrecia Garcia 
SOPRAN 

Born in Venezuela, she begins her musical studies as a violinist. She gains experience as a concert artist for the Orquesta Sinfonica of Venezuela. In 1995 she begins her vocal studies with Rosita Del Castillo. Later she takes part in the opera Die Walkure as Ortlinde conducted by Gregor Buhl.

In 1998 she moves to Spain to study in the Escuela Superior de Mùsica Reina Sofia in Madrid, where she studies with Alfredo Kraus and Teresa Berganza. She attends classes with Renata Scotto, Ileana Cotrubas, Tom Krause, Magda Oliveiro, Vincenzo Spatola.

She has performed with the Orquesta Nacional de España, la Real Orquesta de Sevilla, Orquesta de Radio Televisiòn Espanola, Sinfonica de Galicia, Sinfonica Venezuela, Sinfonica de Santo Domingo, Sinfonica del Principado Asturias in the following settings: the Auditorio Nacional de Musica de Madrid, Teatro Monumental, Maestranza de Sevilla, Arriaga de Bilbao, Cervantes de Malaga, conducted by Jiri Kout, Antoni Ros Marbà, Garcìa Asensio, Josep Pons, Vìctor Pablo, Juanjo Mena, Vasily Petrenko, Alvaro Albiach.

In 2001 she debuts with great acclaim of public and critics the role of Fiordiligi in Così Fan Tutte in the Palacio de Festivales de Santander and in the Teatro de la Zarzuela de Madrid. She has sung Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with Teresa Berganza conducted by Peter Csabà. She has also performed as Clarice from Il Mondo della Luna in the Teatro Lliure de Barcelona.

With the Orquesta Nacional de Lorreine, conducted by Jacques Mercier she sings in the concert version Salud from Manuel de Falla’s La Vida Breve. She has sung Suor Angelica produced by the Alcalà university of Heneres with scenic direction by Giancarlo Del Monaco.

She performs Aida in Madrid and Segovia and she obtains great reviews from public and critics with his USA debut at Seattle Opera with Aida conducted by Riccardo Frizza. She sings Aida in Athens and at Arena di Verona to great acclaim, Don Carlo in Frankfurt, Mefistofele in Valencia, Attila at La Scala, Aida and Nabucco at Arena di Verona, and recently Don Carlo at Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Norma in Salerno, Attila in Seattle and in San Francisco, I Masnadieri in Naples, Aida at Arena di Verona, in Oman, in Qatar and at Berlin Staatsoper, Attila at Terme di Caracalla in Rome and at Palace of Arts in Budapest, I due Foscari in Palermo, Nabucco and Macbeth at La Scala.

Future plans include: Aida at Opéra Bastille, Un Ballo in Maschera in Frankfurt, Cavalleria Rusticana at the New National Theatre in Tokyo, Attila at Theater an der Wien, Nabucco and Aida at Arena di Verona, Il Trovatore at La Scala.
