The young soprano Gladys Rossi began her musical studies with the violin and piano, continuing as a soprano leggero under the guidance of M° Alain Billard.
She made her début in 2002 as Gilda in Rigoletto with the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini under M° Keri-Lynn Wilson.
Later in 2002, she sang again in Parma for the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini in W.A. Mozart’s Exultate, Jubilate.
Her Italian début took her to the Teatro Regio of Parma to perform Frasquita in Carmen and to Padova, Catanzaro, Sassuolo and Busseto alongside Leo Nucci in Verdi’s Rigoletto.
In 2004 she performed as Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro in Tourcoing (France) and as Gilda in Rigoletto in Piacenza.
In 2006 she successfully performed Frasquita in a production of Carmen at the Teatro Regio of Turin.
Recently, in 2007, she performed her first Musetta in La Bohème at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and in Bilbao with Die Zauberflöte as Queen of the Night.
In 2008 she made her dèbut as Violetta in La Traviata in the theatres of Padova, Rovigo and Bassano del Grappa. She also performed in Bilbao as Frasquita in Carmen.
Her up-coming performances in 2009 will take her to Verona in Carmen while in Padova she will be Violetta in La Traviata.
