Roberto Aronica 
TENOR 
Roberto Aronica, born in Civitavecchia (Rome), studied with Carlo Bergonzi and then completed his training at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena. After his debut in Verdi’s Rigoletto at the Teatro Municipale in Santiago, Chile, he soon showed he had one of the most interesting voices in the world of international musical.

He has sung at the most important opera houses in the world. These include: the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Opera in Rome, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Opernhaus in Zurich, the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Royal Opera House-Covent Garden in London, the Opéra-Bastille in Paris, the Metropolitan Opera in New York, the Lyric Opera in Chicago, the San Francisco Opera, the Los Angeles Opera and the Japan Opera Foundation in Tokyo. His vast repertoire includes, among others, the operas Lucia di Lammermoor, L’Elisir d’amore, Roberto Devereux, La Traviata, Rigoletto, Simon Boccanegra, Gianni Schicchi, La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, Werther, Faust, Les Contes d’Hoffman (“The Tales of Hoffman”) and Der Rosenkavalier. In 2006, he made his first appearance in Faust at the Teatro Regio in Parma, conducted by Donato Renzetti. He also performed the role of Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Teatro Real in Madrid, as well as that of the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. He was similarly engaged in Madama Butterfly at the Teatro dell’Opera of Rome, in La Traviata at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin and in La Bohème at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich. 2007 sees him perform in La Bohème, with the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. He also appears in the role of Rodolfo at the Metropolitan and, subsequently, in Chicago. In 2008, he will sing in Macbeth and Madama Butterfly at New York, as well as performing in the latter opera at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin and in Dresden.

In January 2007, he appeared in La Sonnambula at the Teatro Filamonico di Verona, in the new production by Hugo di Ana. In the summer of 2007 at the Arena di Verona, he will take the part of Alfredo Germont in La Traviata.
