
Following her family footsteps, Inva Mula started her career as an opera singer at a very early age. In 1987 she won the “Albania Singer” Contest in Tirana, and the “George Enescu” Competition in Bucarest in 1988. In 1992 she obtained the first prize in the “Butterfly” contest in Barcelona, and in the “Placido Domingo” award in Paris in 1993.
Since her first years, her peculiar talent allowed her to interpret various roles of the verdian repertoire: Gilda in
Rigoletto, Violetta in
La Traviata, Oscar in
Un Ballo in Maschera, Nannetta in
Falstaff (conducted by Riccardo Muti in the Teatro La Scala, Milan).
Recently she sang in

L’Elisir d’Amore at the San Francisco Opera,
La Bohème and
La Traviata at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin,
Manon Lescaut at the Wiener Staatsoper,
Carmen and
Faust at the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse,

Les Contes d’Hoffmann and
La Sposa Venduta at the Opéra National de Paris,
Rigoletto and
Simon Boccanegra at the Teatro Real in Madrid (with Placido Domingo),
Pagliacci at the Liceu Theatre in Barcelona.
