Valter Borin 
Valter Borin, born in Monza, studied operatic singing at Milan, under the guidance of Vittorio Terranova.At the same time, he graduated at the “Giuseppe Verdi” Conservatory of Milan in piano and composition. He made his debut in the summer of 1995, as the Duke of Mantova in Rigoletto, at the Holland Park Theatre in London.

Between 1997 and 1999, he sang the parts of Ruggero in La Rondine, Rodolfo in La Bohème, Tom Rakewell in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s progress and Macduff in Macbeth. Subsequently, he performed in Paisiello’s Nina, o sia la pazza per amore, staged in the courtyard of the Palazzo Reale in Caserta, and then in La Bohème (as Rodolfo), at the Teatro Massimo of Palermo, receiving considerable personal acclaim. Between November 2000 and January 2001, he sang the role of Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa and also at theatres in Livorno, Como, Lucca, Ravenna and Pavia. He then appeared in Massenet’s Werther at the Teatro Politeama in Lecce and in Verdi’s Il Corsaro. Next to Katia Ricciarelli, he took the part of Roberto in Puccini’s Le Villi. In May 2001, he performed in Rigoletto at the National Opera House. In 2002, he sang in Carmen in Tel Avivi, Tosca in Lecce, La Bohème in Salerno, Adriana Lecouvreur in Reggio Calabria (on the occasion of the reopening of the Teatro Cilea), La Traviato at the Vienna Volksoper and in Tokyo and Luisa Miller in Bussetto.

In the summer of 2007, he will perform the part of Ismaele in Nabucco at the Arena.
