Alessandro Liberatore was born in Rome and studied singing and piano in his native city. He attended specialization courses with Rockwell Blake at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. He has won numerous international Competitions including the "Città di Nettuno", "Zandonai" and "Caruso" Contests and he made his debut in the role of Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni by Mozart.
The singer is particularly appreciated for his interpretations of the French repertoire and he has also sung in Werther by Massenet, La Traviata, Macbeth and Messa da Requiem by Verdi. From the sacred repertoire he has interpreted Mozart's Coronation Mass and la Messa di Gloria by Puccini; in October 2002 he performed in a recital in Montecarlo with Luciano Pavarotti.
