Katia Pellegrino 
Katie Pellegrino is from Puglia in Italy and carried out her musical studies at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory in Venice, first as a violinist and then as a singer, under the guidance of Franco Ghitti. In 1998 she won the 12th International "Iris Adami Corradetti" Opera Competition and in 2000 she was a finalist in the "Maria Callas" Competition. Her first debut was in Salerno as Violetta in La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, followed by the interpretation of Mimì in La Bohème in Padua.

In 2000 she sang in the Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini at the Palafenice in Venice and at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Norma in Cremona, Brescia, Pavia and Como, in Beethoven's 9th Symphony in Milan conducted by Riccardo Chailly, in the Stabat Mater by Pergolesi and in Händel's Messiah with the Solisti Veneti conducted by Claudio Scimone.

In the 2001/02 season she performed in Norma and in Il Trovatore at the Festival Verdiano in Parma and in Luisa Miller in Como, Brescia, Cremona and Piacenza. She also performed in a concert in Tokyo on tour with Teatro La Fenice, in Verdi's Requiem Mass in Reggio Emilia and in Teatro Regio in Parma, in Il Trovatore in Lisbon, at the Festival Verdiano in Sofia and Busseto, in Forza del destino in Lima, in Otello by Verdi in Sassari and in Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Comunale in Firenze.
