Hao Jiang Tian 
Hao Jiang Tian is from Peking, and studied at the Music Conservatory and subsequently at the Chinese Philharmonic Association. He won numerous international singing Competitions such as the 'Rosa Poncelle Foundation Voice Competition', the 'Bel canto Voice Competition', the 'Sullivan Foundation Voice Competition' in New York and the 'San Francisco Opera Competition'. In the 1991/1992 season he made his debut in the Metropolitan theatre and from that moment he became famous with the interpretation of 15 roles in five new productions broadcast on television all over the world. He performed in the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, at the Lyric opera in Chicago, at the Canadian Opera Company, the Washington Opera, the Nice and the Tokyo operas.

From the same period his interpretations of Filippo in Don Carlos, Procida in I Vespri Siciliani and Méphistophélès in Faust are very important. In autumn 2002 he returned to the Metropolitan as Timur in Turandot and subsequently he made his debut in Bilbao as Oroveso in Norma.

He then sang in Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, in Jérusalem and in Don Carlos by Verdi. In 2002 he performed at the Teatro Comunale in Florence as protagonist in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam in I Vespri Siciliani. In the course of the 2001/2002 season he made his debut in two productions in the Metropolitan: Norma and Luisa Miller, conducted by James Levine. He also performed at the Washington Opera with Placido Domingo in Cid by Massenet and in Il Guarany by Gomes. He interpreted the role of Timur for the Toronto Opera Company and sang in Aida and Lucia di Lammermoor for the Baltimore Opera.

He made his debut in the Chicago Opera in Don Carlos, at the Nice Opéra as Silva in Ernani and at the Oper der Stadt in Bonn in Il Guarany, Fidelio and Don Giovanni. In 1998 he sang at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires as Méphistophélès in Faust. Other roles he interpreted at the Metropolitan include Colline in La Bohème, the Count des Grieux in Manon and Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor.

Hao Jiang Tian's vast repertoire also includes Verdi's and Mozart's Requiems, Beethoven's ninth Symphony and Handel's Messiah.
