
Andrea Piccinni studied singing with Maestros Leo Ferri of Rome and Luciano Bianchini in Genova. He attended courses to perfect his voice with Maestros Roland Panerai and Giuseppe Taddei. Following a long and busy period in which he sang in various concerts in Italy and abroad, he made his debut in 1986 in the opera
Gianni Schicchi in Pisa.
Piccinni has performed in many important roles: Sharpless in
Madama Butterfly in Monterrey (Mexico); Marcello in
La Bohème at the Teatro Regio in Parma and at the Teatro Umberto Giordano in Foggia; Schaunard at the Teatro Regio in Parma and in Dublin; Sivio in
I Pagliacci at the Teatro Carcano in Chiavari;
Gianni Schicchi in the opera of the same name at the Teatro Carcano in Chiavari and at the Teatro of La Spezia.
He participated in some recordings of different operas which included
Tosca and
La Bohème by Puccini.
The tenor has peformed in many prestigious theatres: The Arena and the Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, Teatro Comunale in Florence, Teatro dell'Opera in Genova, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Theatres in Jesi, Bari, Urbino, Foggia, Cosenza and Cesena, Teatro Regio in Parma and Torre Del Lago Puccini.
Andrea Piccinni has also sung in various places abroad including: Salzburg, Frankfurt, Birmingham, Dublin, Monterrey and Osaka.
