Marcello Giordani 

Hailed as an extraordinarily versatile artist, Marcello Giordani has a repertory which encompasses a wide and diverse range of roles, spanning the gamut from the bel banto heroes of Donizetti and Bellini to the more dramatic roles of Verdi and Puccini.

He has established an extraordinary international career, performing regularly on the world’s most prestigious concert stages and opera houses including Teatro alla Scala, Metropolitan, Covent Garden, Opernhaus in Zürich, Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra National de Paris, Liceu in Barcelona, Deutsche Oper in Berlin, San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro Massimo “V. Bellini” di Catania, Arena di Verona, Festival Pucciniano in Torre del Lago, working with the world’s leading conductors including Daniele Gatti, James Levine, Zubin Mehta, Antonio Pappano and Georg Solti.

His most recent engagements have included La Fanciulla del West at the Metropolitan Opera, at the San Francisco Opera and at the Chicago Opera, Africaine with the Opera Orchestra of New York and Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci at the Liceu de Barcelona.

Among his future plans are Tosca, Aida, Les Troyens and Francesca da Rimini at the Metropolitan in New York, Il Trovatore and Tosca at the Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Don Carlo at the Teatro alla Scala, Aida at the Chicago Opera, Tosca at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, at th Wiener Staatsoper, at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, at the Teatro Real in Madrid and at the Liceu de Barcelona, Cavalleria rusticana at the Opéra National de Paris.
