Orlin Anastassov 
BASS 
Orlin Anastassov was born in 1976 in Rousse, Bulgaria. His parents were both opera singers. He began studying voice very early with Maestro Georgi Deliganev. At the age of nineteen, in the ambient of a tour with the Rousse Theatre, made his opera debut in Germany in Aida. In 1998-1999 he made his debut as Ferrando in Il Trovatore in Düsseldorf, as Filippo II in Don Carlo in Sofia and as Ramphis in Aida in Wiesbaden.

In April 1999 in Puerto Rico he won an important singing competition Operalia-Placido Domingo; in June 1999 he made his debut in La Scala in Milano as Basilio in Barbiere di Siviglia, conducted by Riccardo Chailly, in Covent Garden in London he made his debut in La Battaglia di Legnano and at the Staatsoper in Vienna as Ramphis in Aida.

Some other important engagements of Orlin Anastassov were La Sonnambula at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Aida in Berlin, Norma in the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and in Karlsruhe, various productions of Verdi's Requiem: with Riccardo Chailly in Paris, Toulouse, Amsterdam and Milan, conducted by Georges Pretre in Montecarlo, in London and Manchester conducted by Mark Elder. With Sir Colin Davis he sang at the London Symphony in London in Benvenuto Cellini, L'Enfance du Christ, Romeo et Juliette and Les Troyanes by Berlioz, at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste he made his debut in La Bohème conducted by Daniel Oren, in Hamburg he performed in Rigoletto, in I Puritani in Palma di Mallorca, in Ernani in Malaga and in Barbiere di Siviglia in Frankfurt. In Puerto Rico and in Washington he participated at the Anniversary Gala of Placido Domingo, at the Teatro Regio in Parma he received a warm welcome from the audience and the critics when he performed in Macbeth.

Recently his performance as Attila was particularly successful in Covent Garden in London. Subsequently, he sang in Lima in Peru in Forza del destino, in Aida at the Arena di Verona, he inaugurated the Festival di Spoleto with Verdi's Requiem conducted by Riccardo Chailly and he made his debut at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia in an inaugural concert of the summer festival in Caracalla.

His future engagements include the production of Gallo d'oro in Paris which will be recorded for EMI, La Bohème in Washington, Barbiere di Siviglia in Berlin, Aida in Montecarlo, Il Trovatore in Paris and Hamburg, Stabat Mater at the Festival in Cuenca, Don Carlos (Filippo II) in Amsterdam and Simon Boccanegra in Covent Garden.
